Women's Self-Defense Instructors
Graham is a 2nd Dan in Aikido and a professional instructor in that art. Graham was finally fed up with the violence against women in his community when he sought to become a women's self-defense instructor. "I wanted to help in whatever way I
could against women becoming victims of assault or rape. I’m tired of the "I’ve been a good friend of Ray Butcher for many years. Having completed the courses he’s taught for Rape Escape it’s helped me understand the need in Ireland for quality instruction. There’s too many courses out there that leave a woman no better than when she was before taking the course. It’s already a big step for Irish woman to make the effort to attend in the first place. The Rape Escape courses are the only courses I’ve seen which look at the situation from the woman’s point of view. It offers them real tools which are reflexive and easy to remember. "I’ve seen how terribly unprepared woman are when they first arrive [for a class]. But the difference in confidence and awareness by the time they leave is astounding. Statistically in Ireland 1 in 8 woman are now a victim of attack. With this level of aggression in the street. Women can’t afford not to ignore the reality. There are very easy steps which can be taken and the program is the best I’ve seen to transmit them." Contact info Web site: E-mail:

(delete the 'x' at the end before sending) | What do you mean "Fight like a Girl"?
"In a stranger-rape situation, if he allows you to see his face, you get his name, or you can somehow otherwise identify your attacker, and he knows it, it’s all the more important to get away from him, even if he has a knife and you are risking injury. Because unless he’s quite inexperienced, he’s likely to kill you to leave no witnesses." Program a Long Time Coming "The concept of enlightening women to 'fight like girls' is a long time coming. We should have been doing this years ago. The female body is built differently and can be used effectively against a male attacker if trained properly. Defend University and the Rape Escape program have proven again and again that the Fight Like a Girl program is successful, easy to learn and easy to deliver."
